Yerba Mate Grapia Milenaria Elaborada con palo 1000 g

A classic mate from Argentina, produced by the El Colono Agricultural Cooperative in Campo Ramon in the province of Misiones, with a rich flavour and a wonderful forest aroma. It owes all this to the passion put into its production and to natural methods of processing the leaves and stems of Paraguayan holly.

The product is described as artisanal. Its foundation is drying the plant using a traditional method known since the time of the Guarani people, i.e. more than 400 years ago. Apart from drying (Secado), another key element of the production process is natural ageing (seasoning) of the product. The leaves and stems of Paraguayan holly gain depth of flavour over 24 months.

In the economical Grapia Milenaria pack you will find fairly finely cut leaves, medium-sized stems and a relatively large amount of dust for an Argentine mate. The flavour can be described as intense and deep, with noticeable smoky, woody and herbaceous notes. Add to this a pleasant bitterness, moderate (low) acidity and a forest scent noticeable right after opening the pack. The stimulating effect also matters: here we are dealing with a truly strongly stimulating variety that will appeal to fans of classic, energising types of yerba mate.

Grapia Milenaria Elaborada con palo is a relatively new product on the Polish yerba mate market and certainly one you should try at least once. Available in a limited run, don't let others beat you to it.
