Yerba mate Verdeada Premium Arpillera en Yute 250 g
An interesting blend from the Verdeada brand, this time packed in a hemp sack. The leaves are naturally aged for an extended period of 24 months. The contents are packed by hand, and the leaves are hand-selected - the best quality of all Verdeada products.
Inside the Premium pack you will find a nicely cut blend: a perfect balance of fairly coarsely cut leaves with some stems and a moderate amount of dust.
When you open the pack, you will notice a fairly intense aroma: slightly sharp, grainy and nutty. The smell alone makes you want to prepare an infusion straight away.
Verdeada Premium is a yerba that captivates with its flavour practically from the first pour and the first sip. It charms us with a rich bouquet of flavours, a good dose of astringency, grainy (malty) notes with a smoky finish and a touch of sweetness. The bitterness is not excessive; it is noticeable and blends nicely with the other flavours. With each refill, a delicate saltiness comes through, reminiscent of salted crackers or roasted sunflower seeds. Some consider this flavour to be umami.
The ageing time leaves its mark on the flavour of the infusion, which certainly ranks among the very best Argentinian yerbas currently available in Poland.
In terms of how long it lasts, this is undoubtedly a yerba that is not afraid of water and stands up bravely to many refills, delivering a solid energy boost. Its stimulating power seems slightly higher than that of the Tradicional and Estacionada versions. As a result, we can enjoy an exceptionally tasty infusion with an above-average effect for many hours. Something wonderful!
It is also worth mentioning that this is a family business producing on a relatively small scale, using traditional cultivation methods and hand packing. We can safely call it an artisan yerba mate.
To sum up, Verdeada in the Premium version is absolutely top of the range among the new Argentinian yerbas that have joined our offer in recent months. We warmly recommend it to lovers of classic flavours with interesting notes in the background that can be enjoyed for many hours.
