An option we first tested in 2022 - it instantly won our hearts and those of many mate lovers :)
Available in a smaller 250 g pack, perfect for trying it out. Although this is a BCP version, i.e. with reduced dust content, it is certainly not bland and will delight many a yerba mate fan, just as it delighted me!
When you open a pack of Secadero, a campfire scent hits your nose - a gently smoky, smoked aroma, remarkably rich and inviting. The leaves vary in size: you will find both medium-sized and more finely ground ones. The stems are medium-sized and the amount of dust is rather minimal.
The taste of the infusion can be described as smoky, tart and bitter, but not overdone, which makes it fit perfectly into the style of a yerba on the border between Argentinian and Paraguayan flavours. In the background, a characteristic smokiness reminiscent of smoked plum makes itself strongly felt, along with woody and nutty notes.
It delivers a solid dose of energy and is remarkably long-lasting - ideal for lovers of classic varieties with above-average stimulation and an intense taste. Try this unique newcomer straight from the Misiones province in Argentina.
