Something for fans of fruity-herbal blends from the Adelga brand, of which we used to stock three versions - after the latest delivery there are now six. One of the bestsellers among fruit yerba mates in 2025!
Inside the pack you will find fairly coarsely cut leaves and some stems, with the added herbs also clearly visible: poleo and green tea. There is only a little dust, so it is easy to prepare. The dried leaf smells pleasant and slightly tea-like, with a strong forest fruit accent and no sharp or smoky notes.
It is suitable for preparing both the traditional way, hot, and cold. It is undoubtedly aimed at all fans of Mate Amargo (bitter), whereas fans of Mate Dulce (sweet/sweetened) may be disappointed :)
When you open the pack, you are greeted by the scent of sweetish, juicy forest fruits, with raspberry the most noticeable. In the background there are tea-like and slightly woody accents.
In the pack you will find both larger and medium-sized leaves, some fairly finely cut stems, a moderate amount of dust and additions visible to the naked eye: poleo and green tea.
The infusion tastes relatively mild, with very moderate bitterness and astringency and noticeable woody and grainy accents. At first the taste of yerba dominates and the forest fruit flavour is very delicate. With each refill the forest fruit flavour grows stronger and competes with the typical yerba notes. The result is a tasty and interesting option which, in our opinion, clearly beats the other products with this flavour available on the market.
Adelga Frutos del Bosque is a moderately stimulating blend, and it definitely does well in terms of yield. The infusion holds up to refills for quite a long time, keeping its forest fruit flavour. An interesting option for anyone looking for unusual fruit blends.
