Yerba mate Yacuy Terere Energy 500 g
A new product from the Brazilian brand Yacuy, designed to be drunk cold, although nothing stops you from drinking it hot as well. It has an intense guarana aroma, which makes it somewhat reminiscent of today's popular energy drinks. Fortunately, only in terms of aroma and taste ;)
Yacuy Terere "Energy" has medium-sized leaves of an intense green colour, and the pack also contains a fair share of stems, which makes it very easy to build a mound. There is not much dust, so you can easily prepare an infusion regardless of your yerba experience.
When you open the pack, you are hit by the characteristic guarana aroma, which personally reminds me of childhood bubble gum. A peculiar aroma combining raspberry with something bitter and sour ;)
Although the aroma is quite intense, fortunately it does not overpower the taste of the yerba - you can sense the grassiness and freshness of the Brazilian leaf. The guarana note is at just the right level and does not upset the balance of flavours or overshadow the taste of the Paraguayan holly. The bitterness is relatively light, slightly boosted by the guarana aroma.
We recommend pouring ice-cold water or well-chilled orange juice over it - it will give you a moderate energy boost and refresh you on hot summer days. It is also solidly long-lasting, as the leaf keeps releasing its flavour for a long time.
The resealable doypack preserves the lovely aroma and intense colour of the leaves.
The Yacuy brand offers more than a dozen blends and constantly takes care of the high quality of its products. The manufacturer pays close attention to the contents of every pack, so you will find only Paraguayan holly and additions such as herbs or flavourings.
