Yerba mate Yacuy Terere Marula 500 g Doypack
A new product from the Brazilian brand Yacuy, designed to be drunk cold, although nothing stops you from drinking it hot as well. It has a beautiful marula aroma, which is inimitable and very distinctive, as it combines fruity, nutty and chocolate notes.
Yacuy Terere "Marula" has medium-sized leaves of an intense green colour, and the pack also contains a fair share of stems, which makes it very easy to build a mound. The amount of dust is rather small and does not get in the way of preparing the infusion at all.
When you open the pack, the scent is extremely intriguing - I had never come across an aroma hitting my nose like this right after opening a pack. The aroma is intense, with fruity, chocolate and nutty notes. Some may also associate it with nougat or coffee - a truly unusual scent!
After pouring ice-cold water over it, the flavour is released rather slowly; you need to give the leaf about 10-15 minutes before it starts releasing its inimitable taste. The grassiness and freshness of the yerba are interwoven with exactly the same notes you could sense in the aroma. The combination of nutty, chocolate and fruity notes with the taste of yerba makes this an extremely interesting choice for terere.
It is solidly long-lasting, the flavour remains noticeable for quite a long time, and in terms of energy it is a moderately stimulating option. On hot days, however, you can be sure it will deliver a dose of refreshment and a gentle boost.
The resealable doypack preserves the lovely aroma and intense colour of the leaves.
The Yacuy brand offers more than a dozen blends and constantly takes care of the high quality of its products.
