Yerba Mate Rei Verde Chimarrao Linha Nobre Vacuum 500 g
A finely ground Brazilian chimarrao, i.e. green gold with a rich flavour and aroma in a premium version. If chima interests you and you like looking for new flavours in the Brazilian part of the yerba world, you have found a very good option.
Rei Verde Linha Nobre consists mainly of very finely ground leaves with a small admixture of medium-sized stems. Everything is vacuum-packed, so it keeps its intense aroma and beautiful, deep green colour for longer.
Right after opening the pack, a grassy scent hits your nose, somewhat nettle-like and slightly smoky, which overall has to be considered quite strong and bold for a Brazilian erva mate.
From the first pour, this fine option from Rei Verde delights the palate with intense flavours. In the infusion you will find flavours that go hand in hand with the aroma, i.e. nettle and tea accents are clearly noticeable, along with bitterness and astringency broken by light creaminess and minimal saltiness.
Each sip delivers plenty of flavour, partly because the Paraguayan holly at the heart of this blend comes from wild plantations harvested when the plant contains the most nutrients, which means a more intense flavour and greater longevity. As befits a very good chima, it holds its flavour for a long time and delivers a very solid energy boost. Compared with the previously available (standard) version, all flavours and aromas are at least one level stronger.
If you are looking for a premium chimarrao at an affordable price, Rei Verde Linha Nobre seems to be an excellent choice.
