Yerba Mate Natura Despalada 500 g
A classic mate, made mainly of leaves from the town of Oberá in central Misiones province, with no additives. It is produced by SANESA, which also owns other brands such as Costa Norte and Mathienzo.
Natura Despalada contains at least 90% coarsely and medium cut Paraguayan holly leaves with a small admixture of stems and a minimal amount of dust. This makes it exceptionally easy to prepare and drink.
The flavour of Natura Despalada can be described as fairly intense and distinctive. The infusion has moderate bitterness and astringency interwoven with acidity, grainy and nutty notes. The first infusions are quite mild, but over time the brew gains strength and intensity. Smoky notes are barely noticeable and remain firmly in the background.
It provides a fairly solid dose of energy and is very long-lasting, which will certainly appeal to fans of classic, stimulating varieties that are not necessarily very intense in flavour
Yerba Mate Natura Despalada is probably our favourite of all the versions of this brand we have tested, so I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for new flavours from Misiones province - you will not be disappointed.
