Opis produktu
Yerba mate La Posadena Tradicional 1000 g
A traditional Argentinian yerba without additives - a complete novelty on our yerba market from Molino San Miguel, the company behind brands such as Adelga, Pajaro Azul, La Hermosa and Ivoty Ca'a. We had the chance to test it at the turn of 2020 and 2021, but its review needed a bit of a refresh.
The pack shows a bridge, and you could say it is there for a reason, as this yerba easily bridges the Argentinian and Paraguayan styles. Inside you will find mainly fairly coarsely cut leaves, along with some more finely ground ones, medium-sized stems and a good amount of dust.
The scent of la Posadena is fairly intense - it can be described as hay-like, nutty and grainy with a slightly smoky accent. That Paraguayan touch is noticeable in this yerba straight away.
The flavour surprises at once with its fairly high intensity: the infusion is quite astringent and bitter, with grainy and nutty notes making themselves known. La Posadena tastes slightly smoky, and the background note is somewhat reminiscent of roasted sunflower seeds. Over time a gentle sweetness also appears, nicely rounding out the rich palette of flavours.
The infusion keeps a high level of intensity for many hours and delivers an above-average dose of energy. It is a really interesting choice for fans of Argentinian yerbas with character.
Try it and be surprised!
