Opis produktu
Yerba mate La Posadena Tradicional 500 g
A traditional Argentinian yerba without additives, a brand-new product on our yerba market from Molino San Miguel, whose range includes brands such as Adelga, Pajaro Azul, La Hermosa and Ivoty Ca'a. We had the opportunity to test it at the turn of 2020 and 2021, but its review needed a bit of refreshing.
The pack shows a bridge, and one could say it is there for a reason, as this yerba easily bridges two styles: Argentinian and Paraguayan. In the pack you will find mainly fairly coarsely cut leaves, along with some more finely ground ones, medium-sized stems and a fair amount of dust.
The aroma of la Posadena is quite intense and can be described as hay-like, nutty and cereal with a slightly smoky note. The Paraguayan touch of this yerba is noticeable straight away.
In terms of taste, its fairly high intensity is an immediate surprise: the infusion is quite astringent and bitter, with cereal and nutty notes making themselves felt. La Posadena tastes slightly smoky, and the background note is somewhat reminiscent of roasted sunflower seeds. Over time a gentle sweetness also appears, which nicely complements the rich palette of flavours.
The infusion stays highly intense for many hours and delivers an above-average energy boost. An extremely interesting choice for fans of Argentinian yerbas with character.
Try it and let it surprise you!
