Yerba Mate Kurupi Mega Menta 500 g
A new product that appeared in Paraguay at the end of 2023 and reached us at the end of February - without a doubt an interesting option for fans of Paraguayan herbal blends and of the Kurupi brand itself.
If we expect it to outdo the current leader in this respect, the Menta Boldo version, we can be sure it will not. The blend contains relatively finely cut leaves of Paraguayan holly with some stems, a moderate amount of dust and added herbs: mint and boldo.
It is a choice for those who find the Menta Boldo version too minty, with not enough yerba flavour coming through. In the Mega Menta version the yerba comes first, and only then the minty note. The infusion gives energy, refreshes nicely and puts you in a good mood.
Yerba mate Kurupi Mega Menta has a pleasant but not overpowering bitterness and astringency. They are partly balanced by the mint and boldo, giving a good balance of flavours. It is solid in terms of longevity - a serving holds up well to many refills. And we are of course talking about hot preparation here.
On hot summer days it can be an interesting alternative to Kurupi Menta Boldo for those who like a hint of mint in their terere but do not want too strong a minty accent. Be sure to try it!
