A new offering from Kraus, a well-known and respected brand in the yerba world. It is associated mainly with yerba mate produced (dried) using the smokeless method, called sin humo in Spanish.
Yerba mate Kraus "I love mate" is a classic version without additives, containing fairly coarsely cut leaves of a nice green colour with an admixture of medium-sized stems and minimal dust. The dry leaf has a characteristic algae-like, somewhat marine scent resulting from the drying method used. The aroma also carries grainy-nutty and nettle-like accents.
The taste has noticeable bitterness and astringency, but they are not overdone. The infusion has no smoky or heavy accents - the yerba is light and pleasant, with grainy, nutty, grassy and nettle-like notes.
In terms of energy, it is rather moderately stimulating, but it has a good yield. It is a good option for lovers of classic yerbas without additives with a medium level of intensity.
