Organic green tea Moya Matcha "Daily" 50 g Japanese
Matcha tea is a popular tea, in this case from Japan, known for its intense green colour and its form of a green powder. It comes from the Uji region in Kyoto Prefecture, known for the oldest plantations of the highest-quality Japanese tea.
Moya Matcha tea is a high-quality green tea made from the second and third harvests of fresh leaves from bushes grown under special bamboo shades. This gives the tea a higher L-theanine content and the leaves an intense green colour. The leaves are picked when fully mature, then gently dried and ground into a fine powder.
It is a high-quality product, and the ceremony of drinking it is called chanoyu.
Matcha tea, unlike classic green tea, is more intense, fresh, strongly tea-like and bitter. It is a base for interesting drinks: matcha latte, smoothies, lemonades, and an addition to chocolate, baked goods or other sweets. Nothing stops you from preparing it on its own with water (hot or cold), milk or your favourite plant-based drink.
It comes in a resealable doypack, so it keeps its beautiful colour, wonderful aroma and intense taste. It is also available in a traditional version (first and second harvest) and a luxury version (first harvest).

The traditional way of preparing Matcha Tea:
- Put two teaspoons of matcha (1.5 g) into a bowl (matchawan).
- Pour 100 ml of hot water at 80°C over it.
- Whisk vigorously with a chasen (bamboo whisk).
- Make "M"-shaped movements until a thick green foam forms. This should take about 30 seconds.
- Then you can add more water, depending on how intense you want the tea to be.
