BIO Japanese green tea Moya Matcha "Luxury" 30 g
Matcha tea is a popular tea - in this case from Japan - known for its deep green colour and its form as a green powder. It comes from the Uji region in Kyoto Prefecture, known for the oldest plantations of the highest-quality Japanese tea.
Moya Matcha Luxury is an excellent premium green tea obtained exclusively from the first harvest of fresh leaves from bushes that mature under special bamboo shades. This gives the tea a higher L-theanine content, and the leaves themselves have an intense green colour. The leaves are picked once they are fully mature, then gently dried and ground into a fine powder.
It is a high-quality product whose drinking ceremony is called chanoyu.
Matcha tea in this version has an umami flavour, slightly sweet with a light tea-like aftertaste. It is perfect for a tea ceremony and good both hot and cold.
Available in a resealable tin, so it keeps its beautiful colour, wonderful aroma and intense flavour. Also available in an everyday version (second and third harvests) and a traditional version (first and second harvests).

The traditional way to prepare Matcha tea:
- Put two teaspoons of matcha (1.5 g) into a bowl (matchawan).
- Pour 100 ml of hot water at 80°C over it.
- Whisk vigorously with a chasen (bamboo whisk).
- Move the whisk in an "M" pattern until a thick green foam forms. This should take about 30 seconds.
- You can then add more water, depending on how intense you want the tea to be.
