Matte Leao Cha Mate Tostado (roasted) 250 g
Another roasted yerba mate on the Polish market, this time from a new brand, Matte Leao, with the distinctive lion in its logo. In short: the brand has 120 years of experience with yerba.
Mate Tostado tastes simply excellent with milk, as mate de leche. In short, this means pouring warm milk over the dried leaves instead of water. The sweetness of the milk pairs interestingly with the flavours of the roasted mate.
Mate de leche should only be drunk from glass or ceramic vessels. Do not use vessels made of natural materials such as a gourd or wood, as it may damage them.
The pack contains medium-sized leaves and stems of Paraguayan holly that have been roasted, which significantly affects their flavour and aroma.
Matte Leao Tostado can be prepared in many ways, one of which is the aforementioned mate de leche, i.e. yerba with milk. Another well-known way is to pour only cold water over the leaves. To prepare refreshing terere with Cha Mate Tostado, add the dried leaves to a height of 1-2 cm and then pour ice-cold water over them. An ideal option for hot summer days.
In an infusion made with warm water or milk you will taste notes of nuts, almonds, dark chocolate, cocoa and even coffee. It is a true symphony of flavours that you will certainly remember for a long time.
If you choose the classic preparation with warm water, we recommend using less of the dried leaves, i.e. no more than 1/2 of the vessel's volume. This is because in this combination the infusion will be extremely intense and strong, so to avoid this, add a little less mate than usual.
According to the manufacturer, one pack should be enough to make 18.5 litres of infusion.
