Yerba Mate Rei Verde Chimarrao Nativa 1000 g Vacuum
A classic Brazilian chimarrao in hermetically sealed (vacuum) packaging that ensures quality, an intense green colour and a lovely aroma. It contains finely ground leaves with an admixture of coarsely cut stems that make filtering easier.
To prepare it, you will need a bombilla with a flat, round filter with small holes, known as a bomba. Otherwise, you will hardly be able to enjoy its taste.
When opened, it smells of freshly cut grass with a grainy note - very delicate but inviting.
Rei Verde Chimarrao Nativa tastes rather fresh, grassy, mild, delicate and light. You will notice interesting tea-like, slightly grainy and biscuity accents. Its energising effect is moderate, while its yield can be described as good. A medium serving (approx. 60 g) allowed more than 2 litres of water to be poured through.
Definitely one of the better options in this price range, so it is a safe choice for anyone who wants to try chimarrao - if it does not work out, it is not a big expense, and it might be the start of a beautiful adventure with the Brazilian "green flour"?
