Opis produktu
Erva Mate Rei Verde Chimarrao Barbaqua 1000 g Vacuum
Another new product from Q1 2024, this time from Brazil, from a brand we value highly - Rei Verde. We wanted to add it to our range a few months earlier, but unfortunately it did not work out; still, there is no point complaining, because it finally made it to Rzeszów!
What sets it apart is the traditional rather than industrial drying method, the Barbacua method, which guarantees a unique and intense flavour. According to the producer, this traditional drying makes the infusion bolder and longer-lasting, with more noticeable smoky or smoked notes.
To prepare it, you will need a bombilla with a flat, round filter with fine holes, the so-called bomba. Otherwise you will hardly be able to enjoy its flavour.
Rei Verde Barbaqua is vacuum-packed, so it keeps the intense colour of its leaves and its wonderful aroma.
Thanks to the classic (traditional) drying method, this chimarrao offers interesting smoky notes, pronounced bitterness and astringency. You will not find smoked notes as strong as in counterparts from, for example, Meta Mate. The infusion has a light creaminess, an astringent aftertaste on the tongue and grainy-nutty notes. It is definitely a choice for people who want a bold chimarrao but do not want to exceed a certain level of intensity.
As befits a very good quality chimarrao, it holds up well to many refills and keeps releasing its distinctive flavour. Be sure to try it!
