A high-quality classic yerba mate (erva mate) straight from Brazil, made of very finely ground mate, vacuum-packed.
Erva mate Laranjeiras Chimarrão is a Brazilian mate made of heavily ground mate, or rather powder (70% very finely ground leaves and 30% stems). It is neither smoked nor aged, which gives it its fresh, grassy taste. After opening, we recommend storing it in an airtight container to preserve its unique aroma and flavour.
Laranjeiras Chimarrão Premium is a yerba mate that can be prepared in several ways; one of the classic methods is as follows: pour the dry leaves into a large gourd on one side and fill the empty space on the other side with previously cooled water. Wait for the mate to soak up the water, then place a bombilla with a large, round, flat filter (bomba) in the gourd, pushing the mate to one side so that it rests with its filter against the leaves, forming a so-called mound. Top up with water. It can be refilled many times, until the flavour is completely washed out and the aroma is gone.
To prepare it properly, a bombilla with a flat filter with many small holes, known as a bomba, is essential.
Erva mate Laranjeiras Chimarrão is a demanding yerba mate that will appeal mainly to experienced mate drinkers because of the way it is prepared. When prepared properly, it can be refilled many times without losing its flavour.
