Yerbomos Un Mate XL 750 ml
Probably the best current version of this popular gadget, the Yerbomos, bearing the Un Mate logo and slightly larger than the first model. Stylish workmanship, a simple, uncomplicated design and a well-thought-out construction guarantee enjoyable mate drinking.
The water container is made of stainless steel with double-wall technology, meaning double walls that keep the optimal temperature in the container for longer. We are talking up to 6 hours, starting at 80 degrees and ending at 60 degrees Celsius. Sounds promising! The water tank itself holds about 500 ml, just right for a proper mate session.
The Yerbomos is leak-proof thanks to seals between the water container and the leaf container, as well as on the cap itself, which is additionally pressed down from above. The mouthpiece folds down, so you can close the whole thing by putting on the cap, reducing the risk of leaks to absolute zero. You then screw the metal cap onto the leaf container, and from the outside it looks like a typical thermos that does not draw attention.
The stainless steel construction plus the added cap also make the Yerbomos more durable: if you drop it, there is a good chance nothing will happen to it apart from minor dents on the outside. With earlier versions, such an accident almost always damaged the water container. The Yerbomos is very easy to use and to clean, as its components only need washing under running water with a little detergent, then thorough rinsing and drying.
Yerbomos UnMate consists of three basic parts: a stainless steel water container, a leaf container and a lid with a mouthpiece. It therefore works on the same principle as the previous models. Pour water into the container (bottle) (up to 750 ml) and put the dry leaf into the cap (up to 25-35 g depending on the yerba mate variety). Then close it with the lid with the mouthpiece and your Yerbomos is ready to use. With each sip through the mouthpiece, water is drawn from the container and pours a portion of liquid over the leaf, which then reaches you as an infusion straight from the leaf. It also has a rubber band in the middle that makes the Yerbomos easier to hold.
The leaf container should hold up to 35 g of dry leaf, just right for a proper serving of yerba mate lasting several hours.
Because its parts are leak-proof, you can put it in a bag or backpack, but first make sure that all parts are screwed on tightly and the seals are in their correct places. However, because of the air vent, it is recommended to carry it upright, as water may leak out.
We recommend filling it with slightly cooler water, around 60°.
Before first use, it is recommended to pour boiling water over the individual parts of the Yerbomos. After each use, it is recommended to clean it with water and a little detergent.
