Opis produktu
Yerba mate Taguato Tradicional 500 g
A classic yerba from Argentina with no additives. The brand's name comes from the Guarani language and refers to a bird of prey from the hawk family, common in Central and South America. That is why this beautiful bird appears on the brand's packaging.
In the Taguato paper bag you will find fairly coarsely cut leaves with medium-sized stems and a moderate amount of dust. In terms of aroma, the dry leaves are fairly light and pleasant. You can detect woody, hay-like, grainy and nutty, seaweed-like and grassy notes. You could say the aromas fit the Argentinian profile almost perfectly.
The infusion is fairly mild and delicate at first, but gains intensity over time. The flavour is woody, malty, nutty, hay-like, tea-like and pleasantly creamy. In this last respect it closely resembles Liebig Original. The yerba bitterness and astringency are rather moderate and not excessive, and there are no smoky or heavier, deeper notes in the infusion. This makes it undoubtedly a yerba for lovers of lighter and milder Argentinian yerbas.
Interestingly, the producer recommends filling about 2/3 of the vessel and making the first pour with warm but definitely cooler water than the target temperature. In this case, the producer recommends pouring water at exactly 84 degrees Celsius over the leaves - quite hot, wouldn't you agree?
Taguato Tradicional is long-lasting and moderately stimulating in terms of energy - it is certainly not at the level of the top Despaladas. It is ideal for a day off or a lighter day, when you don't need an excessive energy boost, just better concentration, focus and a gentle pick-me-up.
