Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Sinceridad Limon 500 g
A delicate yet aromatic yerba mate from Argentina, good for drinking both cold and hot. It is produced by the Aguantadora brand in Monte Carlo, in the province of Misiones, Argentina.
An Argentinian mate that works cold and hot
This brand's products are smoke-free, as they are dried with hot air only. Yerba mate varieties made this way are called sin humo. Drying the harvested leaves and stems of the yerba mate plant takes 6 to 8 hours.
The mate itself is a fairly mild variety, good for drinking cold as terere or the classic way, with water no hotter than 75-80 degrees Celsius. It is a good choice for people starting their yerba mate adventure, thanks to its fairly gentle bitterness enriched with natural lemon flavouring. It is also an interesting option when we are bored with the classics and our taste buds crave some variety in our yerba menu. Sinceridad Limon also offers a medium dose of stimulation and refreshment with a noticeable citrus note. When a vessel of about 180 ml is filled to 3/4 of its volume with the dried leaves, it should take up to 4-5 refills without a clearly noticeable loss of flavour. When the flavour is completely gone after subsequent refills, it means we have washed out the taste of the infusion and it is high time to empty the matero (mate gourd) and fill it with a fresh portion of the herb, or take a short break.
The Sinceridad brand - years of experience in growing yerba mate
Growing yerba mate is not easy; it requires a lot of work and care from the farmers. Another matter is the climate in which the plant can grow freely. It can withstand snowfall and temperatures down to -6 degrees Celsius, but in general it is a plant that likes high temperatures and plenty of sun. Another important factor is the right soil pH, which should be in the range of 5.8-6.8. It is no coincidence that today it is grown on a large scale only in the subtropical climate of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, between the 18th and 30th parallels, and from the Atlantic in the east to the Paraguay River in the west.
It is worth mentioning that it is produced by the Monte Carlo agricultural cooperative located in the province of Misiones, Argentina, which has been operating since 1930. So it is safe to say that the company has considerable experience in growing yerba mate. The same cooperative also produces other mates sold under the Aguantadora and Pampa brands.
