Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Sinceridad Naranja 500 g
A mild and subtle variety straight from Argentina that will win over fans of fruity yerba mate. It is produced by the Aguantadora brand in Monte Carlo, in the province of Misiones, Argentina.
Try it cold (terere) or hot
This agricultural cooperative's products are dried without smoke, using hot air only. Yerba mate varieties made this way are called sin humo. Drying the harvested leaves and stems of the yerba mate plant usually takes 6 to 8 hours.
This variety can be described as subtle and mild, good for drinking both the classic way, with water no hotter than 75-80 degrees Celsius, and cold as terere. It is an interesting choice for people who have not had the chance to try yerba mate yet and are afraid of its characteristic bitterness. Here the bitterness is additionally softened by natural orange flavouring. It is also worth reaching for when we are bored with the classics and our taste buds want a change in our yerba menu. Sinceridad Naranja also offers a medium dose of stimulation and refreshment with a noticeable orange note. When a vessel of about 180 ml is filled to 3/4 of its volume with the dried leaves, it should take up to 4-5 refills without a clearly noticeable loss of flavour. When the flavour is completely gone after subsequent refills, it means we have washed out the taste of the infusion and it is high time to empty the matero (mate gourd) and fill it with a fresh portion of the herb, or take a short break.
The Sinceridad brand and its many years of experience
Yerba mate cannot be grown in many places around the world. This is due to the climate the plant needs to grow freely. It can be grown in the mountains and can withstand snowfall and temperatures down to -6 degrees Celsius, but in general it is a plant that likes high temperatures and plenty of sun. Another important factor is the right soil pH, which should be in the range of 5.8-6.8. It is no coincidence that today it is grown on a large scale only in the subtropical climate of Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil, between the 18th and 30th parallels, and from the Atlantic in the east to the Paraguay River in the west.
It is worth mentioning that it is produced by the Monte Carlo agricultural cooperative located in the province of Misiones, Argentina, which has been operating since 1930. So it is safe to say that the company has considerable experience in growing yerba mate. The same cooperative also produces other mates sold under the Aguantadora and Pampa brands.
