Yerba mate Secadero Tradicional Barbacua 1000 g
We discovered this yerba in 2022 and after a while it joined our permanent range in 250 and 500 g packs - now it is time for a large, economical pack.
Although it is a BCP version, i.e. with reduced dust content, it is certainly not bland and will delight many fans of Paraguayan holly, just as it delighted us from the very first sip.
When you open the pack of Secadero Barbacua, you are greeted by the scent of a campfire - a gently smoky, smoked aroma, remarkably rich and inviting. The leaves vary in size: you will find both medium-sized and more finely ground ones. The stems are medium-sized and the amount of dust is rather minimal.
The flavour of the infusion can be described as smoky, astringent and bitter, but not overdone, which places it perfectly on the border between Argentinian and Paraguayan flavours. In the background, a characteristic smokiness reminiscent of smoked plum makes itself strongly felt, along with woody and nutty notes.
Secadero delivers a solid dose of energy and is remarkably long-lasting - ideal for lovers of classic varieties with above-average stimulation and intense flavour. Try this unusual new yerba straight from the province of Misiones in Argentina.
