Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Pindare Tradicional 1000 g
We had had our eye on this Uruguayan-style yerba with the distinctive Indigenous figure in its logo for quite a while, so we are delighted to present it to you. Pindare is a classic version with no additives, containing mainly fairly finely cut leaves, a small admixture of slightly larger leaf pieces and a minimal share of stems.
The result is a composition that is pleasing to the eye and invites you to prepare an infusion right away - which is exactly what we did as soon as we opened the pack. It is also worth adding that the pack is very well sealed, so the leaves have an intense aroma dominated by grainy and nutty notes, which is really intriguing.
From the very start, Pindare Tradicional charms with the intensity and richness of its flavours. This is a very pleasant surprise, because Uruguayan-style yerbas often need 2 or 3 infusions to reach a higher level of intensity. Not in this case - here you are hit straight away by plenty of interesting flavours. You can taste astringency, bitterness, a mouth-drying aftertaste on the tongue, light acidity, grassy and grainy notes, creaminess and quite a distinct saltiness. Yes, you read that right: this yerba has a salty accent that some compare to umami. In my opinion it is quite pronounced, and many people will surely find it in their matero (mate gourd), calabash or imperial too.
This saltiness also brings certain associations to mind - for me, the aftertaste of salted crackers or pretzels from a well-known Polish snack brand.
Another key feature is its very high longevity while keeping the infusion suitably intense. Pindare Tradicional is truly top-class in this respect. It guarantees hours of mate drinking while providing an above-average stimulating effect.
In our opinion, it hits the bullseye and will surely surprise many an experienced mate drinker with its flavour. Be sure to try it!
Also available in a smaller 500 g pack - the choice is yours. But as they say, all good things come to an end quickly, so keep that in mind when choosing the pack size :)
