Yerba Mate Mbaeteko con hierbas Naranja Limon 500 g
Until now, our range included only the traditional option from the Mbaeteko brand. With the latest delivery we are adding three new herbal or herbal-fruit options.
The third and final one is a blend with added herbs: mint, field horsetail, senna and burrito. It is rounded off with a citrus (orange-lemon) flavouring, which is meant to give the infusion a fruity finish.
The Mbaeteko Naranja Limon leaves are not ground too finely, which makes this yerba fairly easy to prepare regardless of your yerba experience. The leaves are medium-sized, with an admixture of stems and herbs, which makes it very easy to form a slope in the gourd.
The blend smells of citrus, mint and slightly of tea. The aroma is similar to the plum version, but here the plum note is replaced by a citrus one.
Mbaeteko Naranja Limon intrigues from the very first sip: the infusion is minty, refreshing thanks to the mint, and slightly tea-like. The bitterness and astringency are moderate for a Paraguayan yerba. The citrus flavour is well balanced and spot on, nicely complementing the yerba and herbal notes and adding an interesting, fruity finish.
In terms of yield it performs solidly: the leaves release their flavour for a long time, and the citrus (fruity) note stays noticeable for a long while, pampering your taste buds. It gives quite a decent energy boost, although of course it is not as strong as the traditional version.
This is another interesting take on flavours from Mbaeteko, which will surely satisfy those looking for unusual flavour combinations and fans of the Paraguayan style in general.
Due to the presence of senna, it may have a laxative effect. Not recommended for pregnant women.
