Yerba mate Lapacho Rosa Despalada 500 g
The third option from the Lapacho Rosa brand in our shop, this time in a very leafy version, i.e. Despalada, which will surprise you with its intensity and strong energising effect.
Like the previous options, this one also contains only Paraguayan holly, with no additives or flavourings whatsoever. However, this option contains at least 90% leaves, which hold above-average strength.
A niche plantation (Establecimiento San Nicolas) that uses the traditional drying method with eucalyptus wood, which gives it a characteristic flavour and aroma. Add natural ageing lasting 24 months, and the result is bound to be a success. The production process itself is carefully supervised to guarantee the highest possible quality.
The name of the yerba is linked to the history of the Lapacho tree, which stood (grew) among the Paraguayan holly on the plantation, hence the name Lapacho Rosa.
In the pack of Lapacho Rosa Despalada you will find fairly finely ground leaves, with almost no stems, and a moderate amount of dust.
After opening the pack, you are greeted by a fairly rich aroma dominated by woody accents interwoven with algae, nutty, cereal and tea notes. No heavy or smoky notes.
As for the flavour of the infusion, it is relatively mild at first, with solid bitterness and astringency, an astringent aftertaste on the tongue and woody, cereal-nutty, tea and algae accents. Over time, the infusion clearly gains strength and intensity of flavour.
The bitterness and astringency become much more pronounced, and the previously mentioned notes are more noticeable, which makes it a very rich composition.
In terms of energy, you can feel almost immediately that this yerba has huge potential and will easily provide an above-average dose of energy for a whole day of mate drinking; its yield is also very high and the leaves withstand successive infusions without losing the strength and intensity of the brew.
Lapacho Rosa Despalada is undoubtedly a top-quality product, and the company not only produces excellent yerba, but also cares for the natural environment.
