Yerba Mate La Selva Pomelo Rosado 500 g
One of the best flavoured mates available on the Polish yerba mate market. La Selva is considered a Uruguayan mate, but it is produced in Brazil, mainly for the Uruguayan market. This flavoured variety consists mainly of fairly finely ground leaves with some more coarsely cut ones, a minimal amount of stems (about 1%), a lot of dust and flavouring.
Because the leaves are so finely ground, this type of mate needs to be prepared with a so-called slope. Otherwise, drinking La Selva Pomelo Rosado will be quite difficult and the bombilla may get clogged with fine particles of leaves and dust.
La Selva Pomelo is a very surprising product, as it combines features typical of mate from Brazil and Argentina. In the infusion you will find creaminess, vegetal notes, the classic yerba bitterness and light smokiness, balanced by a fruity taste of tart grapefruit.
This mate is exceptionally versatile and high-yielding, suitable both for a refreshing terere in the height of summer and for classic preparation with warm water. We recommend trying both methods and choosing the one that suits you best. Thanks to how finely it is ground, the infusion keeps its flavour and aroma for a very long time. It is one of the few that retains its fruity taste for a very long time - with other flavoured mates this is not so obvious, quite the opposite.
The flavoured version of La Selva lets you enjoy a very pleasant variety of mate for a long time. We recommend it to people who have been drinking mate for a while, as the fine grind may be troublesome for those at the beginning of their yerba journey.
