Yerba Mate Jesper Elaborada con palo 500 g
An Argentinian mate with no additives from the Jesper brand, one of the newcomers to the Polish yerba mate market in 2020. Inside the pack you will find only medium-cut yerba mate leaves and stems plus a moderate amount of dust.
How can the taste of Jesper Elaborada con palo be described? The leading role is played by a mild, pleasant bitterness with a noticeable but light smokiness and acidity. Add to that a minimal sweetness, hints of tea, walnut and bread crust, a gentle astringency, and noticeable woody and plant notes. With subsequent infusions it gains more bite.
Remember, however, to use the right water temperature, as the intensity of the flavour depends on the temperature of the water you pour over the leaves. The first pour is key: we suggest a temperature of around 40-50 degrees Celsius, and then around 60-70 degrees, which gives the best taste.
Jesper Elaborada has a beautiful, fresh aroma with a noticeable scent of meadow and campfire smoke. To sum up, this is a version with no additives that should interest both those just starting out with yerba mate and those who already know their way around the world of yerba mate. Although it is a relatively mild mate, it does not lack richness and complexity of flavour. A very pleasant choice with a moderate stimulating effect.
