A brand that joined our range in 2023 in five versions. With the latest delivery, we can expand the Fortuna range by another four blends, one of which is Katuava. The history of the Fortuna brand dates back to 1975 and continues to this day. Nearly 50 years of experience in growing and producing Yerba mate shows that they know Paraguayan holly like few others. Otherwise, their yerbas would not have earned the recognition of Paraguayan consumers.
A blend whose ingredients and name will interest fans of refreshing yerba on hot summer days. Apart from Paraguayan holly, it contains mint, field horsetail, coca leaf herb, lemongrass, lucero herb and lime oil. You have to admit, the list is rich and extremely interesting. The pack contains fairly finely cut leaves with some stems and a considerable amount of dust.
Thanks to the fairly fine grind, the yerba forms a slope very well, which lets you get the most flavour out of the infusion, which is why we strongly recommend this traditional method of preparation in this, as in every, case.
Immediately after opening the pack, an intense herbal and citrus aroma hits your nose, with a slightly smoky, pine-like accent specific to the Fortuna brand. The additions are clearly noticeable in the blend in terms of aroma, but what about the taste?
From the first sips, the infusion is intense and distinctive; the additions play an important role in it rather than being a barely noticeable background. Minty freshness combined with citrus notes makes a very good combination of flavours. Add cold water and ice cubes, and you have a recipe for excellent terere.
Fortuna Terere Restaurador provides an above-average energy boost, and the yerba itself withstands refills for quite a long time, gradually releasing its flavour, which means it has a good yield.
If you are looking for a blend to prepare cold without having to hunt for interesting additions to your yerba, this one is just for you. It will refresh you on a hot day and give you energy for many hours.
