Yerba Mate El Moncayo Compuesta Verse Bien 1 kg
New from el Moncayo: another herbal version, but in a different style. This yerba is produced in Brazil for the Uruguayan market. Besides Paraguayan holly, it contains the following herbs: mint, bladderwrack, field horsetail and lemon verbena.
Thanks to the added herbs, the classic bitterness is largely neutralised and the herbs come through strongly. El Moncayo Verse Bien is great not only hot, but also cold as terere on hot summer days.
When you open the pack, you see beautiful, deep green leaves with a minimal amount of stems. The leaves are cut quite finely, and the herbal additions are visible at first glance. The blend is very aromatic, with a clearly noticeable herbal scent.
The flavour of the infusion can be described as tea-like, nettle-like, slightly creamy and biscuity. Overall it is quite light and gently grassy, with moderate bitterness and astringency. The intensity grows with each infusion - you could say the flavour develops. In addition to the flavours mentioned above, there is a mouth-drying aftertaste on the tongue, more pronounced astringency and a hint of umami in the background.
Because the leaves are ground so finely, this type of mate needs to be prepared using the so-called mound method. Otherwise drinking el Moncayo will be quite difficult and the bombilla may clog with fine particles.
El Moncayo Verse Bien is a brand-new arrival on the Polish yerba mate market.
