Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Cunataipora Tradicional 500 g
A traditional yerba without additives from Campo Ramón in the province of Misiones, made by the Cunataipora brand, owned by the company/plantation of Juan Ángel Frei. A notable curiosity of this yerba is the natural aging time mentioned by the producer: 30 months. During this time the leaf acquires interesting background notes and flavours.
Cunataipora Tradicional is undoubtedly a yerba with a nicely cut leaf: the leaves are fairly large, with medium-sized stems and practically minimal dust. The aroma of the dry leaf is strongly woody, hay-like and nutty, reminiscent of dried apricots or a campfire.
From the first pour, woody, hay-like and nutty notes stand out in the foreground, along with a light smokiness and grainy-nutty accents. There is quite a lot of bitterness, moderate astringency and plenty of creaminess. After several refills you can pick up other nuances, such as roasted sunflower seeds, a light grassiness or a flavour reminiscent of bread crust. The intensity of the infusion also grows, as do the bitterness and the grainy-nutty nuances, which are a very important part of the flavour profile. After a while, alongside a light sweetness (creaminess), there is also a salty flavour reminiscent of crackers or salted pretzel sticks.
In terms of intensity, Cunataipora Tradicional is not excessively smoky or astringent and fits well into the typical Argentinian flavours of Misiones. It provides a good dose of energy for several hours of mate drinking.
