Opis produktu
Yerba Mate Contigo Compuesta con hierbas 1000 g
A new Uruguayan-style blend, produced in Brazil by the Baldo brand in cooperation with Canarias. This herbal variety contains fairly finely ground leaves, a minimal amount of stems (approx. 1%) and three aromatic herbs: lemongrass, lemon balm and mint.
When you open a pack of Contigo Compuesta, you will notice an intense herbal aroma, slightly minty and tea-like with a delicate citrus accent. A very pleasant scent, not too sharp and inviting.
The first pours are fairly light and mild, but the intensity of the infusion clearly increases over time. The astringency is quite pronounced, the bitterness is also distinct, and you will notice a drying aftertaste on the tongue. The infusion is vegetal, slightly herbal, tea-like and minty. Citrus and nutty accents can be sensed in the background, making for a remarkably rich and interesting bouquet. Among Uruguayan herbal blends it is at the very top and well worth recommending.
The herbal version of Contigo holds up remarkably well to repeated pours, keeps its flavour for a long time and delivers a solid dose of energy.
Due to the fine grind of the leaves, this type of mate needs to be prepared using a so-called mound. Otherwise, drinking Contigo will be very difficult and the bombilla may keep getting clogged with fine particles.
We definitely recommend it to all lovers of the Uruguayan style, especially herbal versions. I think it will instantly make it to the top of their Uruguayan yerba mate ranking. Be sure to try it!
