Opis produktu
Yerba Mate CBSe Dubai Chocolate (chocolate and pistachio) 250 g
The second of the new limited-edition releases from the Argentinian brand CBSe. This one is a yerba flavoured like Dubai chocolate - more precisely, chocolate and pistachio. It is not the combination that first comes to mind when you want to try yerba in a new flavour. We usually go for traditional, herbal or fruity flavours. Let's see how this somewhat controversial release turns out.
CBSe Dubai Chocolate contains medium-sized leaves and stems of Paraguayan holly and a moderate amount of dust - a cut fairly typical of Argentina. The aroma of the dry leaves, however, is highly unusual.
In the aroma you will pick up pistachio and chocolate, along with typical grain, nutty and woody accents and hay notes. It is not a typical aroma for yerba mate or flavoured options, although in a way it comes close to Yacuy Marula, whose aroma and flavour are also unique and inimitable in their own way.
It tastes good with ice cubes or prepared with cold, even ice-cold water.
The flavour of the infusion is interesting, with a light, chocolate-like sweetness and a milder pistachio accent, yet I would not describe the taste itself as sweet. The whole is rounded off by a moderate yerba bitterness and astringency. Overall, chocolate and pistachio are more noticeable in the aroma. The infusion is not overly chocolatey, which makes it an interesting option for experiments, e.g. pouring milk over it, which gives you mate de leche.
The CBSe Dubai Chocolate infusion provides a moderate dose of energy and offers a good yield. If you are looking for a blend with a love-it-or-hate-it, controversial flavour, this one is for you!
The other release is a little less surprising - it is flavoured with spicy mango. Unlike the products in the regular range, this limited edition in two flavours comes in smaller 250 g packs.
