Yerba mate Berjovena Tradicional 500 g
Another treat for fans of traditional Barbacua drying, straight from the Misiones province, from the Ostapowicz family. The yerba itself comes from the central part of the province and is grown in line with natural and traditional cultivation methods.
Berjovena Tradicional is naturally aged for 24 months, which gives it interesting flavour qualities. The pack contains fairly finely ground leaves with some stems and quite a lot of dust.
This is a yerba that delights from the moment you open the pack to the last sips of a spent serving. When you open the pack, an extremely intense aroma hits your nose, dominated by smokiness, with woody and grainy, nutty notes too. It is without doubt a yerba that should interest every fan of the Barbacua style.
The strong and distinctive aroma also translates into the intensity of the infusion. Practically from the first pour, we get solid flavours, led by a smoky taste reminiscent of Origen Barbacua and Meta Mate Leafy Melody. Apart from the characteristic smokiness, we find woody and grainy notes, a slight saltiness and a taste reminiscent of roasted sunflower seeds.
Berjovena will undoubtedly be one of the best options from the latest delivery, and you certainly will not be disappointed with it. It won us over with its solid aroma and flavour, which accompanies you for many hours of mate drinking while providing an above-average energy boost. It is an absolutely top yerba from Argentina.
