A new brand from Argentina in our range! Arroyo Verde is a brand known for its light and interesting herbal blends. We already had the chance to try one of them in 2023, and now it is time to try three herbal blends.
The Arroyo Verde Hierbas Serranas version is undoubtedly a blend with a rich composition. Besides medium-sized leaves and stems with a small amount of dust, it also contains poleo, green tea, coriander, chamomile, mint and herbal flavouring.
The aroma of the leaf is light and not overpowering, with noticeable notes of the herbal additions, especially mint, green tea and chamomile.
Its profile fits perfectly among moderate, light blends. The additions can be tasted in the infusion but do not overpower the yerba, while the infusion is mild and exceptionally pleasant to drink. The result is a good balance between the yerba and the additions. After a light start, the intensity of the flavours gradually increases, with chamomile, tea and mint being the most noticeable of all the notes. The infusion also has nettle-like and grassy notes as well as mild grainy-nutty accents.
The infusion offers a mild energy boost and moderate efficiency. Thanks to its extensive herbal composition, it will undoubtedly also be suitable for preparing a refreshing terere.
It is undoubtedly an excellent choice for lovers of lighter yerba mate and fans of herbal blends.
