Yerba Mate Armino Suave 500 g
The third yerba from the Armino brand, which we had not stocked until now. It is a traditional Uruguayan-style yerba without additives, with a fairly coarse cut, a pleasant and fairly light flavour and good yield.
The Armino Suave pack contains medium and finely cut leaves, a minimal amount of stems and a minimal amount of dust. Once the pack is opened, the aroma of the dry leaf is fairly fresh, mild, grassy, nettle-like and slightly grainy. There are no heavier or smoky notes.
The first pours give a fairly mild infusion - pleasantly creamy, grassy and nettle-like, with gentle bitterness and astringency. Over time the infusion becomes more intense and gains strength. The bitterness and astringency grow, but are not overdone. The creaminess remains clearly noticeable, along with grassy, nettle and tea-like notes and a very slightly salty aftertaste. There are no smoky or heavy notes in the infusion, so it will not be an obstacle at any stage of your adventure with Paraguayan holly. Just remember the traditional preparation method, i.e. the so-called mound.
The lightness and mildness of the infusion are charming; as befits a very good Uruguayan-style yerba, it guarantees many hours of mate drinking with a tasty yerba.
Armino Suave holds its flavour for a long time and offers fairly good stimulation with a relatively light taste. It is a good choice both for those who already have experience with the Uruguayan style and for those who have not yet had a chance to try any yerba in this style.
