Yerba mate Amanda Hierbas Serranas 500 g
A new take on the Amanda brand in a pleasantly herbal version. Amanda is an Argentinian yerba mate with Polish roots. It comes from Misiones province and was founded by Jan Szychowski, a Polish immigrant who settled there for good and who, after his death, even got his own museum in recognition of his contribution to the development of the region and the country.
Yerba mate Amanda Hierbas Serranas is a combination of Paraguayan holly and herbs: poleo, mint and field mint. The package contains medium-sized leaves and stems of South America's green gold, the herbs mentioned above and a minimal amount of dust.
The dry leaves smell lightly minty and woody, and thanks to the blend they are also perfect for a refreshing terere, i.e. cold yerba mate with ice cubes. Amanda Hierbas Serranas is a relatively mild option with moderate bitterness and tartness and a pleasant minty, tea-like note. You can also sense a slightly astringent aftertaste on the tongue and a hint of sweetness.
The infusion is rather moderately stimulating, so you can easily reach for it even in the late afternoon. It is an interesting choice for a less demanding day, spent in the company of this tasty yerba mate.
