Matero Palo Santo "Taza" metal-fitted 120-210 ml
Another new Palo Santo gourd in our range. This time it is the "Taza' model, shaped like a goblet - a medium-sized wooden matero (mate gourd) in a metal casing with a capacity of 120 to 210 ml (filled to the brim without mate), which lets you enjoy the exceptional taste of freshly prepared mate at any time of day. It will easily last for a good few hours of sipping throughout the day.
The gourd has a stem with a fairly wide base, which makes it stable. It has characteristic ridges, which also make it easier to hold. It has a wide opening and is aromatic and well made.
When buying a wooden gourd, remember to prepare and care for it properly. We write more about the proper preparation (curado) of a gourd made of Palo Santo HERE.
As for everyday use, a good practice is to empty the gourd of mate leftovers on the same day you use it. After emptying, simply rinse the inside gently, wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and leave it to dry in an upright position in an airy place for at least 3-4 hours or until the next use the following day.
