Opis produktu
Matero Palo Santo Goblet with "el Buho" engraving 180-210 ml
Among the many different options, Palo Santo will certainly satisfy even the most demanding customers. So what is the secret of its appeal? The scent! Cups made of Palo Santo wood have a distinctive, exceptionally pleasant citrus scent that fills the whole vessel, i.e. the matero (mate gourd). All thanks to the aromatic resin released from the wood with each successive infusion, which passes into the brew and enriches its flavour.
The cup available here can be considered exceptional thanks to its unique engraving made by hand by Robert Przydatek from AlterForma. In its central part it features a hand-made decoration with an owl motif, which in Spanish is "el Buho". The cup has a medium capacity (approx. 180-210 ml), which is an advantage, as it is handy, does not take up much space and allows for many hours of mate drinking.
When buying a wooden cup, remember to prepare and maintain it properly. We write more about properly preparing (curing, curado) a cup made of Palo Santo in our article on preparing a matero.
Its maintenance and preparation are extremely important for keeping it in good condition, i.e. avoiding possible cracks. Mate. It is also worth considering cups with a metal rim – they are the most functional, durable and resilient. Compared to a matero without a rim, they last longer and are more resistant to damage.
As for using the cup, a good practice is to empty it of mate leftovers on the same day you use it. After emptying it, simply rinse the inside gently, wipe it thoroughly with a paper towel and leave it to dry upright in a well-ventilated place for at least 3-4 hours or until the next use the following day.
The rim may have slight dents and scratches.
Individual pieces may differ slightly in wood shade, shape or capacity within the stated range.
Cracks that appear during use are not eligible for complaint.
