Imbuia Rei Verde dark 190-240 ml
A new type of gourd in our range: Imbuia, also known as Brazilian walnut (Lat. Ocotea porosa). The gourd looks truly striking, but above all it is durable and easy to use every day.
Thanks to its shape, the gourd is ideal for preparing Brazilian chimarrao, but nothing stops you from preparing any favourite kind of yerba mate in it. It does not have to be Brazil's green gold only.
Imbuia in this version comes in its natural colour; the inside has been properly sanded, and the outside has been coated with a clear finish and sealed to make it last longer. The gourd bears the burnt-in Rei Verde logo and is also available in a light/natural version.
Use the gourd in the same way as Palo santo: in the evening, or once a serving is completely washed out, empty the leaves and then rinse it gently under running water. You can gently wipe excess water and moisture from the inside with a paper towel. Finally, leave the gourd (opening facing up) in any dry place out of direct sunlight with some air circulation. It will dry on its own within a few hours and be ready to use the next day,
