A classic offering from Verdelandia, straight from Brazil, made for drinking cold but also suitable for hot preparation. It contains nicely cut medium-sized leaves with an admixture of small stems and a minimal amount of dust. A typical terere cut with fairly intensely green leaves.
Erva mate Verdelandia Terere Pura Folha is an interesting choice to try cold with ice cubes. We recommend using water that is as cold as possible for maximum refreshment.
When you open the pack, a wealth of aromas hits you: notes of nettle, tea, grass, seaweed and grain. There are no heavy or smoky accents, and the aroma certainly makes you want to prepare it and try it right away.
From the very start, the infusion charms with a pronounced bitterness, considerable astringency and interesting notes in the background. You can taste grainy-nutty, nettle, grassy, seaweed and tea notes. It is rounded off by a light creaminess and an astringent aftertaste on the tongue. The infusion has no heavy accents whatsoever and no smokiness.
The leaf is remarkably resistant to repeated refills and stays intense for a long time, providing a solid dose of energy for many hours.
