Erva Mate Parana "Leaves and powder" PU-1 250 g
The latest Uruguayan-style release from Mate Parana - already the third Uruguayan-style version available. Once again the airtight packaging was dropped, allowing the yerba to age and mature naturally inside the pack. There is also a new green pack design, so every Mate Parana product now has its own individual pack and pattern, whereas previously they often differed on the outside only by the sticker on the pack. The brand's Latin motto, "carpe diem", is also there - this time printed on the pack rather than on a cardboard insert inside.
For EMP "Leaves and powder", finely ground leaves were used, with almost no stems and plenty of dust, which may herald an exceptionally strong and bold Uruguayan-style yerba. Available in a small (250 g) pack, ideal for trying it out.
The dry yerba has a fairly intense aroma in which nettle, grassy and cereal accents have a lot to say. The aroma is undoubtedly interesting and promises a strong and intriguing yerba.
From the start the infusion is bold and distinctive, with strong bitterness and considerable astringency playing a major role. You will also find nettle, seaweed, grassy and plant accents, and even a pleasant creaminess. Over time you will notice cereal notes, a slightly astringent sensation on the tongue and a light saltiness reminiscent of umami.
Subsequent refills maintain a high level of intensity, making this a solid choice for lovers of strong and bold yerbas. The infusion gives a solid boost and guarantees many hours of high-quality mate drinking.
Erva Mate Parana is a small family business that grows and produces Paraguayan holly on a small scale. Its products have rarely been available in Poland until now, so it is worth taking the opportunity to try this excellent product made with passion and love.
