Opis produktu
Erva Mate Gaucho Tradicional 500 g
A yerba from Brazil that surprised us with its contents because of the word Chimarrao on the pack: it is not the Brazilian "green flour", as chimarrao is sometimes called, but a completely different kind of yerba.
Inside a pack of Gaucho Tradicional you will find finely cut leaves, a large admixture of coarsely cut stems and a solid amount of dust. In short, you cannot do without the mound method here, otherwise you may have trouble filtering it properly.
The leaves have a rather mild aroma with scents of meadow and hay - very subtle and delicate. The leaves are cut extremely finely and have a greenish-grey colour.
The infusion is rather mild, the bitterness is very moderate, and you can detect minimal astringency, grassiness and considerable acidity. Because of these flavours, it is mainly an option for those who like very subtle and mild varieties or are taking their first steps in the world of yerba.
Gaucho Tradicional is not one of the strongly stimulating varieties: its energy dose is rather moderate, as is its longevity. We recommend taking longer breaks between infusions, which lets you extract more flavour from the finely ground leaves.
