Bio Yerba Mate Yerbee Uruguay Traditional PU-1 500 g Doypack
A classic organic Uruguayan-style yerba mate without additives, with an intense flavour and above-average effect, produced for the Yerbee brand. It comes in a sealed resealable doypack with a zip closure, so it retains its intense aroma and bold flavour for longer.
Inside the pack you will find more finely cut leaves with medium-sized stems. For some, this may be an unusual cut for Uruguayan PU-1, whose definition is fairly broad and depends on how a given producer interprets it ;)
In this case the grind size of the leaves, the size of the stems and their higher proportion in the blend may make it a rather unusual PU-1. We point this out straight away to avoid any unnecessary confusion or surprise when you open the pack.
The aroma of the dry leaf is fairly fresh, vegetal, grassy, nettle-like, earthy and bold. From the first sips the infusion has a distinct astringency and bitterness, accompanied by nettle, earthy, grainy and seaweed notes. Add a light creaminess and a hint of saltiness, and the result is a very intriguing Uruguayan-style yerba.
Yerbee Uruguay is a very long-lasting, full-bodied and energising Uruguayan-style yerba. It guarantees many hours of top-level mate drinking, and you can be sure it will keep you going all day.
