Yerba mate Verdeflor Tradicional 500 g
The Verdeflor brand is still fairly little known in our country, but the time has come to add its traditional version, without additives, to our range. Most experienced lovers of Paraguayan holly probably associate this brand mainly with interesting herbal blends. This option is an exception - a very tasty exception.
The pack contains mainly fairly coarsely cut leaves, as well as some more finely ground ones. There are also stems and a moderate amount of dust. The yerba has a fairly mild aroma, neither overpowering nor sharp. It is hay-like, slightly grassy and nutty - in short, it smells very pleasant.
The flavour is interesting and intriguing: you will experience moderate astringency with a light bitterness, accompanied by a grainy-nutty taste noticeable from the first pour. Over time, tea-like accents appear, along with a drying aftertaste on the tongue and a light sweetness. The grainy and nutty notes also grow stronger, creating a very successful composition of flavours that fits perfectly into the Argentinian style without excessive intensity.
This is definitely a relatively light option, without heavy or smoky notes, ideal for a less demanding day or an afternoon mate session. Verdeflor Tradicional provides a moderate boost of stimulation and has a solid yield. It can be an interesting alternative to well-known and valued yerbas such as Cruz de Malta or Nobleza Gaucha.
