Yerba mate Verdeflor Cedron 500 g
A mild blend from Argentina for fans of herbal varieties with a relatively gentle flavour and a lighter energy effect.
Verdeflor contains poleo and lemon verbena as additives. The base is, of course, Paraguayan holly - mainly medium-cut leaves with visible pieces of the herbs mentioned above and stems. The amount of dust is moderate or small; it does not get in the way at all and does not make preparing the infusion difficult.
It is worth adding that the Verdeflor Cedron blend is exceptionally aromatic, with noticeable citrus, minty and tea-like notes. Overall, the aroma is very pleasant, neither too sharp nor heavy.
The flavour of the infusion is definitely something that lovers of herbal versions will enjoy - the bitterness and astringency are fairly mild and subtle. It is well worth trying cold: it will refresh you and gently get you going. What else should be said about the flavour? It is minty and tea-like with a citrus finish - many may look for lemon or orange among the ingredients, but the taste comes from the lemon verbena.
Verdeflor Cedron is a blend with a rather moderate/low stimulating effect, which is why it is also recommended for later in the day without possible problems falling asleep. We also recommend other blends from this brand - you will not be disappointed.
