A product we had been waiting for for a good few months. Originally announced for May, it finally reached us in July. Still, it was worth the wait!
Yerba mate Rei Verde Export Premium contains mainly very finely cut leaves about 2 mm in size, a minimal amount of stems and a moderate amount of dust. Of all the Export versions from this brand, it has the highest proportion of leaves. In addition, the blend is based on leaves from wild-growing plants.
Because of the structure of the dried leaves, to fully enjoy its excellent taste you will need the so-called mound, i.e. a slope of leaves that makes filtering easier and allows for many hours of mate drinking. Rei Verde Premium offers a diverse and rich range of flavours. In the infusion you will find grassy (herbal) notes, a light sweetness reminiscent of sponge biscuits, creaminess and a subtle bitterness that grows stronger over time. You can also detect nutty notes and a mouth-drying finish on the tongue.
Rei Verde Export Premium is extremely long-lasting, letting you enjoy the taste of the infusion for a long time. In terms of energy, you can be sure it will give you the right dose for a long while. In our opinion, it is one of the best Uruguayan-style yerba mates on the market, if not the best.
