Yerba mate Rei Verde Export Premium contains mainly very finely cut leaves about 2 mm in size, a minimal admixture of stems and a moderate amount of dust. Of all the Export versions of this brand, it has the highest share of leaves. In addition, the base of this blend is leaves from wild-grown plants.
Because of the texture of the leaves, you will need the so-called mound - a wall of leaves that helps with filtering and allows for hours of mate drinking - to enjoy its excellent flavour. Rei Verde Premium offers a rich variety of flavours. In the infusion you will find grassy (vegetal) flavours, a light sweetness reminiscent of sponge biscuits, creaminess and subtle bitterness that grows stronger over time. You can also detect nutty notes and a mouth-drying aftertaste on the tongue.
Rei Verde Export Premium is extremely long-lasting, letting you enjoy the flavour of the infusion for a long time. As for energy, you can be sure it will deliver the right dose for a long time. In our opinion, it is one of the best, if not the best, Uruguayan-style yerba mate on the market.
