Yerba mate Las Tunas Tradicional 1000 g
An Argentinian yerba from Las Tunas, a brand previously unavailable in Poland. Its package contains leaves of various sizes, both coarsely cut and more finely ground. Add to that medium-sized stems and a moderate amount of dust. Available in an economy pack.
When you open the pack, you notice a fairly intense aroma: woody and grainy notes come to the fore, followed by smoky and hay-like ones. This makes the combination of scents interesting and tempting you to try it straight away.
The infusion has a strongly woody and grainy taste with noticeable tartness, bitterness and sweetness. All of this is broken up by a smoky note and an astringent aftertaste on the tongue, with nutty notes in the background. The range of flavours is remarkably rich, intense and bold. This is definitely the Argentinian style at its best.
Las Tunas is remarkably resistant to repeated refills and keeps its intensity for a very long time, while providing a solid dose of energy through many hours of mate drinking.
We will certainly come back to it more than once, and we highly recommend that you try it while it is available. Anyone looking for bold flavours and above-average stimulation will certainly be satisfied.
