Yerba Mate La Hoja Tradicional 1000 g
A new arrival from San Ignacio in the Argentinian province of Misiones, previously available only in a 500 g pack. This time a larger, economical pack joins our range as well.
Inside the pack you will find only Paraguayan holly - specifically fairly green, medium-sized leaves with some stems and a moderate amount of dust. This makes the yerba remarkably easy to prepare every day.
The dried leaves have an intense aroma dominated by woody, hay-like, malty and tea notes. The aroma itself also heralds an above-average energising effect, as confirmed by other yerbas such as Salam, Andresito Despalada or Don Lucas.
In terms of flavour, La Hoja Tradicional is a solid choice that charms with an interesting flavour profile full of intriguing notes. In the infusion you will find pleasant bitterness and astringency, malty, woody and tea notes, and a light creaminess. In addition, as with most Argentinian yerbas, there are grainy and nutty notes, resulting in a very successful blend. The start, i.e. the first refills, is fairly mild, but after 2-3 refills the infusion becomes clearly more intense.
The infusion delivers a very good energy boost while keeping the right level of intensity for many hours, which makes it a good choice for fans of classic Argentinian yerbas with above-average energy.
